Vlakplaats Guest Farm

You will find us 8km off the N1, 11km off the R701, 25km from Gariep Dam, 40km South of Springfontein, 45km from Bethulie, 55km North of Colesberg and 180km South of Bloemfontein.

We have 2 units separate from the main house, each with separate main bedrooms. Unit 1 also has a kitchen, lounge and dining room area and a bathroom with a bath and shower (3 additional single beds). Unit 2 also has a sitting area and dining room as well as a bathroom with a shower (2 additional single beds). All linen and towels are provided.

All meals are served in the units for your privacy. Dinner consists of Karoo lamb, garden vegetables and dessert. A cooked breakfast is served. Braais can be organised on request. Coffee, tea and rusks are also in the units for your use. Each unit has a fridge.

Our guest units are private and peaceful: an ideal stopover for the travel weary! There is an abundance of bird-life, dams in close proximity to the units and plenty of space to go for long walks or do bird-watching. The best long distance soaring centre in the world is only a few kilometres away and also the biggest fresh water aquarium in South Africa has recently opened its doors at Gariep Dam.

Vlakplaats is a working sheep farm and also home to a Dorper stud.
