Introduction to Angela's Rose Cottage

Angela's Rose Cottage is a luxury Self Catering and B&B home situated in the sleepy holiday village at the Gariep Dam.

It is ideally positioned approximately halfway between Johannesburg and Cape Town and is suitable for either a single night stay over or for the guest wanting to enjoy the superb water sports, yachting and fishing and enjoy a longer stay.

Whether you are going North or South on the N1, this is a must stayover to break your journey and enjoy the crisp clean air of the Great Karoo.

The turnoff to Gariep Dam is 44 km’s North of Colesberg (Bloemfontein side) on the N1 Highway. Angela's Rose Cottage is only 5 minutes drive from the turnoff.

The Guesthouse establishment is divided into three structures:

Hammerkop which can sleep 8 guests. Hammerlop consists of 2 seperate bedrooms, 2 single beds in each room and 2 double sleeper couches in the double size lounge. Shower with basin and a seperate toilet, large fully equipped kitchen and small dining room. The double size lounge consists of a T.V (DSTV available but you must bring your own Smart Card), DVD Player, Hi-Fi and a sliding door that leads to the long stoep, garden, swimming pool, braai and 8 seater lapa.

Rooibekkie: our Granny flat which can sleep 2. It consists of 2 single beds that form a double bed with an open plan fully equipped kitchen, T.V (DSTV available but you must bring your own smart card) and on-suite bathroom. The bathroom consists of a bath, toilet and basin. Has its own private braai area and a quaint 2 seater, romantic lapa.

Swallow which can sleep 4. It consists of 2 seperate bedrooms. There is a double bed and an on-suite bathroom (shower, basin and toilet) in the main bedroom and 2 single beds with an open plan kitchen, dining room, Hi-Fi, T.V (DSTV available but you must bring your own Smart Card) and 2 sliding doors that leads out to the private braai, 4 seater lapa and a private bathroom (shower and basin only).

Rates are inclusive of elctricity, linen, towels, toiletries and coffee/tea/sugar in eatch unit. All guests have access to the garden, swimming pool and secure undercover parking.

Please note that Rose Cottage has a strict NO-SMOKING policy in the units, however, guests are encouraged to smoke outside.

Breakfast (if required) should be arranged with the local manager.
