Relax
in the four large and spacious bedrooms,
each having its own bathroom en suite or
with a private bathroom to wash away the
tension of your day. All rooms promise comfortable
beds with crisp sheets for a restful night.
There are two bedrooms that accommodate
families of four each, a bedroom for two
and a cosy bedroom with a fireplace that
sleeps three.
The
area abounds in interest: lovely walks with
abundant bird and animal life, fly fishing
for 'yellow fish' in the Orange, river rafting
on inflatable canoes (a 1½ - 2 hour
guided canoe trip from Gariep Dam wall to
the farm), horse trails on neighbouring
farm, nature reserve and Boer War battle
sites in the district and Concentration
Camp site is nearby etc.
Your
hostess, Judy Rous, runs the guesthouse,
prepares and serves all the meals and believe
in spending time with her guests. Listen
to her tales of Wolwefontein's rich history
and about life on the magical farm. One
can access the N1 via Noupoort and meet
up with the N1 again at Hanover. Wolwefontein
is quite nicely situated so as to allow
day trips of the surrounding areas. At Wolwefontein,
there is always heaps of fun stuff for children
to do. Most of the year, there are little
orphan lambs to feed, sometimes there may
be even a baby buck. |
